A top price for Ma Xinle - as previously expected
The work Horses by Ma Xinle was sold in the Fine Chinese Paintings auction at Christies in New York in September 2018. The price achieved of USD 312,500.00 (€ 268,886.59) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 250,000.00 – 350,000.00. Even if this result could not surprise positively, Horses is the most expensive artwork by Ma Xinle that we have observed at auctions so far.

Die Arbeit Horses von Ma Xinle wurde im September 2018 in der Auktion Fine Chinese Paintings bei Christies in New York versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 312.500,00 (€ 268.886,59) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 250.000,00 – 350.000,00 angegeben worden. Auch wenn das Ergebnis damit nicht positiv überraschen konnte, ist Horses das teuerste Kunstwerk von Ma Xinle, das wir bisher bei Auktionen beobachtet haben.
