In March 2014 Christies in New York held the auction Fine Chinese Paintings, which included the work Six Noble Steeds by Ma Xinle. The »bidding war« ended at USD 52,500.00 (€ 38,106.99), 50% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by Ma Xinle have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Horses in September 2018 with an auction result of USD 312,500.00 (€ 268,886.59).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 50 % übertroffen
Im März 2014 führte Christies in New York die Auktion Fine Chinese Paintings durch, in der auch die Arbeit Six Noble Steeds von Ma Xinle zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 52.500,00 (€ 38.106,99) und damit 50% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Ma Xinle auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Horses im September 2018 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 312.500,00 (€ 268.886,59).
