In October 2015 POLY in Hong Kong held the auction Modern and Contemporary Chinese Ink and Works on Paper, which included the work Horses by Ma Xinle. The »bidding war« ended at HKD 590,000.00 (€ 68,927.73), 40% above the upper estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Ma Xinle - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Horses, which sold at auction in September 2018 for USD 312,500.00 (€ 268,886.59).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 40 % übertroffen
Im Oktober 2015 führte POLY in Hong Kong die Auktion Modern and Contemporary Chinese Ink and Works on Paper durch, in der auch die Arbeit Horses von Ma Xinle zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von HKD 590.000,00 (€ 68.927,73) und damit 40% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Für andere Arbeiten von Ma Xinle mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Horses beobachtet, die im September 2018 für USD 312.500,00 (€ 268.886,59) versteigert wurde.
