Auction result well in line with expectations
In January 2021 Sothebys in Hong Kong held the auction Contemporary Art | Hong Kong, which included the work Two Girls by Ma Wenting. The price achieved of HKD 16,380.00 (€ 1,741.26) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 12,000.00 – 22,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Ma Wenting achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work On The Way - 2 in April 2015 with an auction result of HKD 212,400.00 (€ 24,547.21).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Januar 2021 führte Sothebys in Hong Kong die Auktion Contemporary Art | Hong Kong durch, in der auch die Arbeit Two Girls von Ma Wenting zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 16.380,00 (€ 1.741,26) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 12.000,00 – 22.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Ma Wenting erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit On The Way - 2 im April 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 212.400,00 (€ 24.547,21).
