This artwork by Ma Shouzhen achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in Hong Kong in May 2021. In the Fine Chinese Classical Paintings and Calligraphy auction, the work Rock And Bamboo sold for HKD 325,000.00 (€ 34,355.01) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 180,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Ma Shouzhen achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Orchid And Stone in October 2013 with an auction result of HKD 6,440,000.00 (€ 611,122.55).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 81 % übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Ma Shouzhen erzielte im Mai 2021 bei Christies in Hong Kong einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Fine Chinese Classical Paintings and Calligraphy wurde die Arbeit Rock And Bamboo für HKD 325.000,00 (€ 34.355,01) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 180.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Ma Shouzhen erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Orchid And Stone im Oktober 2013 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 6.440.000,00 (€ 611.122,55).
