Auction result well in line with expectations
In July 2020 Sothebys in Hong Kong held the auction Fine Classical Chinese Paintings, which included the work Ink Orchids by Ma Shouzhen. The price achieved of HKD 93,750.00 (€ 10,271.57) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 80,000.00 – 120,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Ma Shouzhen achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Orchid And Stone in October 2013 with an auction result of HKD 6,440,000.00 (€ 611,122.55).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Juli 2020 führte Sothebys in Hong Kong die Auktion Fine Classical Chinese Paintings durch, in der auch die Arbeit Ink Orchids von Ma Shouzhen zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 93.750,00 (€ 10.271,57) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 80.000,00 – 120.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Ma Shouzhen erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Orchid And Stone im Oktober 2013 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 6.440.000,00 (€ 611.122,55).
