Auction result misses estimated price range
In March 2008 a collector was able to acquire the work Today Landscape by Ma Han for USD 17,500.00 (€ 11,072.45). This price was achieved in the auction Contemporary Art Asia at Sothebys in New York and was even below the estimate range of USD 20,000.00 – 30,000.00 set by the auction house. Admittedly, works by Ma Han have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Plan Of The Ants - Red in October 2008 with an auction result of HKD 487,500.00 (€ 49,588.00).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im März 2008 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Today Landscape von Ma Han für USD 17.500,00 (€ 11.072,45) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Contemporary Art Asia bei Sothebys in New York erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von USD 20.000,00 – 30.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Ma Han auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Plan Of The Ants - Red im Oktober 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 487.500,00 (€ 49.588,00).
