Auction result well in line with expectations
In October 2014 POLY in Hong Kong held the auction Chinese and Asian Modern and Contemporary Art, which included the work In Deep Thought; & Philosopher by Ma Desheng. The price achieved of HKD 47,200.00 (€ 4,859.38) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 40,000.00 – 60,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Ma Desheng achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work United Symphony in November 2011 with an auction result of HKD 1,040,000.00 (€ 99,493.05).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Oktober 2014 führte POLY in Hong Kong die Auktion Chinese and Asian Modern and Contemporary Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit In Deep Thought; & Philosopher von Ma Desheng zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 47.200,00 (€ 4.859,38) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 40.000,00 – 60.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Ma Desheng erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit United Symphony im November 2011 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 1.040.000,00 (€ 99.493,05).
