The work Goddess by Ma Desheng was sold in the Contemporary Asian Art auction at Sothebys in Hong Kong in April 2014. It achieved a price of HKD 237,500.00 (€ 22,089.04), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 58%. Admittedly, works by Ma Desheng have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work United Symphony in November 2011 with an auction result of HKD 1,040,000.00 (€ 99,493.05).

Die Arbeit Goddess von Ma Desheng wurde im April 2014 in der Auktion Contemporary Asian Art bei Sothebys in Hong Kong versteigert. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von HKD 237.500,00 (€ 22.089,04) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 58%. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Ma Desheng auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit United Symphony im November 2011 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 1.040.000,00 (€ 99.493,05).
