Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Fun From The Self Enchantement by Ma Desheng was sold in the Chinese and Asian Modern and Contemporary Art auction at POLY in Hong Kong in October 2014. The price achieved of HKD 283,200.00 (€ 29,156.26) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 220,000.00 – 320,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Ma Desheng - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work United Symphony, which sold at auction in November 2011 for HKD 1,040,000.00 (€ 99,493.05).

Die Arbeit Fun From The Self Enchantement von Ma Desheng wurde im Oktober 2014 in der Auktion Chinese and Asian Modern and Contemporary Art bei POLY in Hong Kong versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 283.200,00 (€ 29.156,26) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 220.000,00 – 320.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Ma Desheng mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit United Symphony beobachtet, die im November 2011 für HKD 1.040.000,00 (€ 99.493,05) versteigert wurde.
