Auction result misses estimated price range
In December 2021 a collector was able to acquire the work The Rain by M. Irfan for HKD 27,500.00 (€ 3,114.95). This price was achieved in the auction 21st Century Art Day Sale at Christies in Hong Kong and was even below the estimate range of HKD 40,000.00 – 60,000.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by M. Irfan achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Jangan Pernah Lupakan Sejarah (Never Forget the History) in May 2012 with an auction result of HKD 740,000.00 (€ 77,088.32).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Dezember 2021 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit The Rain von M. Irfan für HKD 27.500,00 (€ 3.114,95) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion 21st Century Art Day Sale bei Christies in Hong Kong erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von HKD 40.000,00 – 60.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von M. Irfan erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Jangan Pernah Lupakan Sejarah (Never Forget the History) im Mai 2012 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 740.000,00 (€ 77.088,32).
