Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Composition by Lydia Masterkova was sold in the Including the Bar-Gera Collection of Soviet Non-Conformist Art auction at Sothebys in London in November 2016. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 36,250.00 (€ 42,771.44), 21% above the upper estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Lydia Masterkova - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work without title, which sold at auction in February 2007 for GBP 81,600.00 (€ 120,969.07).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Composition von Lydia Masterkova wurde im November 2016 in der Auktion Including the Bar-Gera Collection of Soviet Non-Conformist Art bei Sothebys in London versteigert. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 36.250,00 (€ 42.771,44) und damit 21% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Für andere Arbeiten von Lydia Masterkova mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit ohne Titel beobachtet, die im Februar 2007 für GBP 81.600,00 (€ 120.969,07) versteigert wurde.
