This artwork by Luong Xuan Nhi achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in Hong Kong in December 2021. In the 20th Century Art Day Sale auction, the work Portrait of a Lady sold for HKD 2,125,000.00 (€ 240,700.65) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 1,200,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Luong Xuan Nhi - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Le Repos (Resting), which sold at auction in July 2020 for HKD 5,165,000.00 (€ 565,895.19).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 77 % übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Luong Xuan Nhi erzielte im Dezember 2021 bei Christies in Hong Kong einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion 20th Century Art Day Sale wurde die Arbeit Portrait of a Lady für HKD 2.125.000,00 (€ 240.700,65) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 1.200.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Luong Xuan Nhi mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Le Repos (Resting) beobachtet, die im Juli 2020 für HKD 5.165.000,00 (€ 565.895,19) versteigert wurde.
