Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Late Afternoon Chimes by Luong Xuan Nhi was sold in the Asian 20th Century & Contemporary Art (Evening Sale) auction at Christies in Hong Kong in November 2015. The price achieved of HKD 1,180,000.00 (€ 144,120.43) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 1,000,000.00 – 1,400,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Luong Xuan Nhi - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Le Repos (Resting), which sold at auction in July 2020 for HKD 5,165,000.00 (€ 565,895.19).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Late Afternoon Chimes von Luong Xuan Nhi wurde im November 2015 in der Auktion Asian 20th Century & Contemporary Art (Evening Sale) bei Christies in Hong Kong versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 1.180.000,00 (€ 144.120,43) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 1.000.000,00 – 1.400.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Luong Xuan Nhi mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Le Repos (Resting) beobachtet, die im Juli 2020 für HKD 5.165.000,00 (€ 565.895,19) versteigert wurde.
