A top price for Luo Xuan - as previously expected
In October 2001 Christies in Hong Kong held the auction FINE CLASSICAL CHINESE PAINTINGS AND CALLIGRAPHY, which included the work Landscapes After Ancient Masters by Luo Xuan. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of HKD 100,000.00 – 150,000.00, the actual price achieved of HKD 105,750.00 (€ 15,075.23) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Even if this result could not surprise positively, Landscapes After Ancient Masters is the most expensive artwork by Luo Xuan that we have observed at auctions so far.
