Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Luo Xuan achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in Hong Kong in May last year. In the Exquisite Eye: Chinese Paintings Online auction, the work Landscape after Ni Zhan sold for HKD 94,500.00 (€ 11,219.18) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 40,000.00. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Luo Xuan; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Landscapes After Ancient Masters sold at auction in October 2001 with the realized price of HKD 105,750.00 (€ 15,075.23).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Luo Xuan erzielte im Mai letzten Jahres bei Christies in Hong Kong einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Exquisite Eye: Chinese Paintings Online wurde die Arbeit Landscape after Ni Zhan für HKD 94.500,00 (€ 11.219,18) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 40.000,00. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Luo Xuan; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit Landscapes After Ancient Masters im Oktober 2001 mit dem Hammerpreis von HKD 105.750,00 (€ 15.075,23).
