In April 2007 Sothebys in Hong Kong held the auction Chinese Contemporary Art II, which included the work Shooting And Landscape No. 17 by Luo Qing. The »bidding war« ended at HKD 50,400.00 (€ 4,719.00), 26% above the upper estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Luo Qing - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work The Falling Leaf, which sold at auction in May 2008 for HKD 211,500.00 (€ 17,412.05).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 26 % übertroffen
Im April 2007 führte Sothebys in Hong Kong die Auktion Chinese Contemporary Art II durch, in der auch die Arbeit Shooting And Landscape No. 17 von Luo Qing zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von HKD 50.400,00 (€ 4.719,00) und damit 26% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Für andere Arbeiten von Luo Qing mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit The Falling Leaf beobachtet, die im Mai 2008 für HKD 211.500,00 (€ 17.412,05) versteigert wurde.
