Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work Winter Flower by Luo Pin was auctioned at Christies in Hong Kong in December last year, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of HKD 300,000.00 – 400,000.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for HKD 2,520.00 (€ 301.99). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Luo Pin achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Bamboo And Stone in April 2013 with an auction result of HKD 8,050,000.00 (€ 788,005.01).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als die Arbeit Winter Flower von Luo Pin im Dezember letzten Jahres bei Christies in Hong Kong versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von HKD 300.000,00 – 400.000,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für HKD 2.520,00 (€ 301,99) den Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Luo Pin erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Bamboo And Stone im April 2013 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 8.050.000,00 (€ 788.005,01).
