Auction result well in line with expectations
In September 2017 Sothebys in New York held the auction Fine Classical Chinese Paintings & Calligraphy, which included the work Offerings Of The Duanwu Festival by Luo Pin. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 20,000.00 – 40,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 23,750.00 (€ 20,104.97) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Luo Pin achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Bamboo And Stone in April 2013 with an auction result of HKD 8,050,000.00 (€ 788,005.01).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im September 2017 führte Sothebys in New York die Auktion Fine Classical Chinese Paintings & Calligraphy durch, in der auch die Arbeit Offerings Of The Duanwu Festival von Luo Pin zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 20.000,00 – 40.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 23.750,00 (€ 20.104,97) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Luo Pin erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Bamboo And Stone im April 2013 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 8.050.000,00 (€ 788.005,01).
