This artwork by Luo Pin achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in Hong Kong in November 2019. In the Fine Chinese Classical Paintings and Calligraphy auction, the work Gourds sold for HKD 750,000.00 (€ 86,986.11) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 400,000.00. Admittedly, works by Luo Pin have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Bamboo And Stone in April 2013 with an auction result of HKD 8,050,000.00 (€ 788,005.01).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 88 % übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Luo Pin erzielte im November 2019 bei Christies in Hong Kong einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Fine Chinese Classical Paintings and Calligraphy wurde die Arbeit Gourds für HKD 750.000,00 (€ 86.986,11) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 400.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Luo Pin auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Bamboo And Stone im April 2013 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 8.050.000,00 (€ 788.005,01).
