It achieved a price of USD 185,000.00 (€ 146,499.84), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 54%. Admittedly, works by Luo Pin have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Bamboo And Stone in April 2013 with an auction result of HKD 8,050,000.00 (€ 788,005.01).

Die Arbeit Portrait Of Hanshan von Luo Pin kam im September 2014 bei Sothebys in New York zur Auktion. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von USD 185.000,00 (€ 146.499,84) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 54%. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Luo Pin auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Bamboo And Stone im April 2013 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 8.050.000,00 (€ 788.005,01).
