This artwork by Luo Mu achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in Hong Kong in December 2008. In the Fine Chinese Classical Paintings and Calligraphy auction, the work Waterfall from the Mount Lu sold for HKD 125,000.00 (€ 11,584.88) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 70,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Luo Mu achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Cloudy Mountains in June 2015 with an auction result of HKD 3,880,000.00 (€ 448,735.88).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 79 % übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Luo Mu erzielte im Dezember 2008 bei Christies in Hong Kong einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Fine Chinese Classical Paintings and Calligraphy wurde die Arbeit Waterfall from the Mount Lu für HKD 125.000,00 (€ 11.584,88) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 70.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Luo Mu erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Cloudy Mountains im Juni 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 3.880.000,00 (€ 448.735,88).
