The work Cloudy Mountains by Luo Mu was worth HKD 3,880,000.00 (€ 448,735.88) to a buyer in June 2015. This price was achieved in the auction Fine Chinese Classical Paintings and Calligraphy at Christies in Hong Kong and exceeded the previously set upper estimate of HKD 200,000.00 many times over. This high result makes Cloudy Mountains the most expensive artwork by Luo Mu that we have observed at auctions so far.
