Auction result misses estimated price range
In October 2019 a collector was able to acquire the work Visiting The Glovemaker by Luis Alvarez Catalá for USD 1,750.00 (€ 1,568.80). This price was achieved in the auction European Paintings, Drawings and Sculpture at Sothebys in New York and was even below the estimate range of USD 2,000.00 – 3,000.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Luis Alvarez Catalá achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work A Difficult Decision in October 2002 with an auction result of USD 71,700.00 (€ 72,563.51).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Oktober 2019 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Visiting The Glovemaker von Luis Alvarez Catalá für USD 1.750,00 (€ 1.568,80) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion European Paintings, Drawings and Sculpture bei Sothebys in New York erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von USD 2.000,00 – 3.000,00.
