Auction result well in line with expectations

The price achieved of GBP 31,250.00 (€ 35,734.47) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 25,000.00 – 35,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Luis Alvarez Catalá - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work A Difficult Decision, which sold at auction in October 2002 for USD 71,700.00 (€ 72,563.51).
