Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Luis Alvarez Catalá could be acquired at Sothebys in New York in February 2018 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Fine Old Master & 19th Century European Art auction, the work Spanish the Awaited Note changed hands for USD 5,625.00 (€ 4,606.50) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 6,000.00 – 8,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Luis Alvarez Catalá achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work A Difficult Decision in October 2002 with an auction result of USD 71,700.00 (€ 72,563.51).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Luis Alvarez Catalá konnte im Februar 2018 bei Sothebys in New York für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion Fine Old Master & 19th Century European Art wechselte die Arbeit Spanish the Awaited Note für USD 5.625,00 (€ 4.606,50) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 6.000,00 – 8.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Luis Alvarez Catalá erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit A Difficult Decision im Oktober 2002 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 71.700,00 (€ 72.563,51).
