This artwork by Luigi Ontani achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in London in September 2017. In the First Open auction, the work ScarpaGhetta (Shoe Spatter Guards) sold for GBP 17,500.00 (€ 19,853.97) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 10,000.00. Admittedly, works by Luigi Ontani have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Ibridoli in October 2007 with an auction result of GBP 84,000.00 (€ 120,629.53).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 75 % übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Luigi Ontani erzielte im September 2017 bei Christies in London einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion First Open wurde die Arbeit ScarpaGhetta (Shoe Spatter Guards) für GBP 17.500,00 (€ 19.853,97) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 10.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Luigi Ontani auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Ibridoli im Oktober 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 84.000,00 (€ 120.629,53).
