Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Cupido Castigato Da Fato by Luigi Ontani was sold in the Reborn: Modern and Contemporary auction at Christies in Milan in May 2021. The price achieved of EUR 5,250.00 was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as EUR 4,000.00 – 6,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Luigi Ontani achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Ibridoli in October 2007 with an auction result of GBP 84,000.00 (€ 120,629.53).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Cupido Castigato Da Fato von Luigi Ontani wurde im Mai 2021 in der Auktion Reborn: Modern and Contemporary bei Christies in Mailand versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von EUR 5.250,00 lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit EUR 4.000,00 – 6.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Luigi Ontani erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Ibridoli im Oktober 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 84.000,00 (€ 120.629,53).
