Auction result well in line with expectations
The work San Cristoforo by Luigi Ontani was auctioned at Christies in London in February 2014. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 6,000.00 – 8,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 6,250.00 (€ 7,582.75) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Luigi Ontani achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Ibridoli in October 2007 with an auction result of GBP 84,000.00 (€ 120,629.53).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit San Cristoforo von Luigi Ontani kam im Februar 2014 bei Christies in London zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 6.000,00 – 8.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 6.250,00 (€ 7.582,75) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Luigi Ontani erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Ibridoli im Oktober 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 84.000,00 (€ 120.629,53).
