Auction result well in line with expectations
In November 2021 Phillips in London held the auction Photographs, which included the work Amsterdam, MappaMondo from Still Life by Luigi Ghirri. The price achieved of GBP 12,600.00 (€ 14,793.59) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 10,000.00 – 15,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Luigi Ghirri - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Atelier Morandi', 1992, which sold at auction in November 2014 for EUR 51,900.00.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im November 2021 führte Phillips in London die Auktion Photographs durch, in der auch die Arbeit Amsterdam, MappaMondo from Still Life von Luigi Ghirri zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 12.600,00 (€ 14.793,59) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 10.000,00 – 15.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Luigi Ghirri mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Atelier Morandi', 1992 beobachtet, die im November 2014 für EUR 51.900,00 versteigert wurde.
