In December 2003 Christies in London held the auction 19TH CENTURY EUROPEAN ART, which included the work La Raccolta Delle Olive by Luigi Bechi. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 19,717.50 (€ 27,927.26), 64% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by Luigi Bechi have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Playing with the kitten in October 2000 with an auction result of GBP 91,750.00 (€ 156,826.98).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 64 % übertroffen
Im Dezember 2003 führte Christies in London die Auktion 19TH CENTURY EUROPEAN ART durch, in der auch die Arbeit La Raccolta Delle Olive von Luigi Bechi zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 19.717,50 (€ 27.927,26) und damit 64% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Luigi Bechi auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Playing with the kitten im Oktober 2000 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 91.750,00 (€ 156.826,98).
