Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Luigi Bechi could be acquired at Christies in New York in April 2015 for an unexpectedly low price. In the 19th Century European Art auction, the work Cat and Mouse changed hands for USD 22,500.00 (€ 20,157.68) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 25,000.00 – 35,000.00. Admittedly, works by Luigi Bechi have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Playing with the kitten in October 2000 with an auction result of GBP 91,750.00 (€ 156,826.98).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Luigi Bechi konnte im April 2015 bei Christies in New York für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion 19th Century European Art wechselte die Arbeit Cat and Mouse für USD 22.500,00 (€ 20.157,68) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 25.000,00 – 35.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Luigi Bechi auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Playing with the kitten im Oktober 2000 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 91.750,00 (€ 156.826,98).
