A top price for Lü Shengzhong
When the work Magic And Acrobatics (Four Works) by Lü Shengzhong was auctioned at Sothebys in Hong Kong in October 2011, the result exceeded expectations many times over. The upper estimate was set at a - in retrospect quite modest - HKD 200,000.00 but the actual price achieved was more than six times as high at HKD 1,220,000.00 (€ 112,666.52). This high result makes Magic And Acrobatics (Four Works) the most expensive artwork by Lü Shengzhong that we have observed at auctions so far.
