Admittedly, works by Ludvig Karsten have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work I Tanker (In Thoughts) in June 2007 with an auction result of GBP 72,000.00 (€ 106,844.38).

Die Arbeit "Vid vinduet" von Ludvig Karsten kam im Mai 2018 bei Bukowski in Stockholm zur Auktion. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von SEK 260.000,00 (€ 25.242,50) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 30%. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Ludvig Karsten auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit I Tanker (In Thoughts) im Juni 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 72.000,00 (€ 106.844,38).
