A top price for Ludvig Karsten - as previously expected
The work I Tanker (In Thoughts) by Ludvig Karsten was auctioned at Christies in London in June 2007. The price achieved of GBP 72,000.00 (€ 106,844.38) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 60,000.00 – 80,000.00. Even if this result could not surprise positively, I Tanker (In Thoughts) is the most expensive artwork by Ludvig Karsten that we have observed at auctions so far.
