Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Lucy Bull achieved an unexpectedly high price at Phillips in Hong Kong in March this year. In the 20th Century & Contemporary Art Evening Sale auction, the work False Tail sold for HKD 4,826,000.00 (€ 565,075.24) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 2,000,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Lucy Bull - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work 8:50, which sold at auction in June last year for HKD 11,382,000.00 (€ 1,385,105.36).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Lucy Bull erzielte im März diesen Jahres bei Phillips in Hong Kong einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion 20th Century & Contemporary Art Evening Sale wurde die Arbeit False Tail für HKD 4.826.000,00 (€ 565.075,24) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 2.000.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Lucy Bull mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit 8:50 beobachtet, die im Juni letzten Jahres für HKD 11.382.000,00 (€ 1.385.105,36) versteigert wurde.
