Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Compositión by Lucio Muñoz was sold in the Christie's Interiors auction at Christies in London in January 2012. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 4,000.00 – 6,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 4,375.00 (€ 5,280.30) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Lucio Muñoz achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Tabla azul in October 2007 with an auction result of EUR 84,250.00.

Die Arbeit Compositión von Lucio Muñoz wurde im Januar 2012 in der Auktion Christie's Interiors bei Christies in London versteigert. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 4.000,00 – 6.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 4.375,00 (€ 5.280,30) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Lucio Muñoz erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Tabla azul im Oktober 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 84.250,00.
