Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work Stella, 1986 by Lucio Del Pezzo was auctioned at Bonhams in Brussels in January 2024, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of EUR 80.00 – 120.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for EUR 64.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Lucio Del Pezzo achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Rosso Veneziano in November 2015 with an auction result of EUR 68,750.00.
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als die Arbeit Stella, 1986 von Lucio Del Pezzo im Januar 2024 bei Bonhams in Brüssel versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von EUR 80,00 – 120,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für EUR 64,00 den Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Lucio Del Pezzo erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Rosso Veneziano im November 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 68.750,00.
