Artwork auctioned at four times the upper estimate price
The work Un Solo Bisbiglio (Just One Whisper) by Luciano Ventrone was worth HKD 350,000.00 (€ 32,980.28) to a buyer in June 2014. This price was achieved in the auction Boundless: Contemporary Art at Sothebys in Hong Kong and exceeded the previously set upper estimate of HKD 80,000.00 many times over. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Luciano Ventrone; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Natura morta sold at auction in June this year with the realized price of EUR 37,800.00.
