Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work Untitled (Profile) by Luciano Miori was auctioned at Sothebys in New York in October 2010, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of USD 2,000.00 – 3,000.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for USD 1,625.00 (€ 1,169.57). Admittedly, works by Luciano Miori have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Standing Male Nude, Flexing A Pole in October 2009 with an auction result of USD 7,500.00 (€ 5,083.02).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als die Arbeit Untitled (Profile) von Luciano Miori im Oktober 2010 bei Sothebys in New York versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 2.000,00 – 3.000,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für USD 1.625,00 (€ 1.169,57) den Besitzer. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Luciano Miori auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Standing Male Nude, Flexing A Pole im Oktober 2009 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 7.500,00 (€ 5.083,02).
