Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work Man And Boy In Blue Ground by Luciano Miori was auctioned at Sothebys in New York in October 2009, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of USD 5,000.00 – 7,000.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for USD 4,375.00 (€ 2,965.10). Other works by Luciano Miori have also sold for higher prices; the highest price we have seen at auction so far was achieved in October 2009 by the work Standing Male Nude, Flexing A Pole at USD 7,500.00 (€ 5,083.02).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als die Arbeit Man And Boy In Blue Ground von Luciano Miori im Oktober 2009 bei Sothebys in New York versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 5.000,00 – 7.000,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für USD 4.375,00 (€ 2.965,10) den Besitzer. Andere Arbeiten von Luciano Miori wurden auch schon teurer gehandelt; den höchsten Preis, den wir bisher bei Auktionen beobachten konnten, erzielte im Oktober 2009 die Arbeit Standing Male Nude, Flexing A Pole mit USD 7.500,00 (€ 5.083,02).
