Auction result well in line with expectations
In December this year Christies in London held the auction Old Masters Part I, which included the work A landscape with a peasant wedding and a village festival, Antwerp beyond by Lucas van Valckenborch. The price achieved of GBP 226,800.00 (€ 261,264.91) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 200,000.00 – 300,000.00. Admittedly, works by Lucas van Valckenborch have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Summer: the Harvest ('Le Repas de Paysans') in April 2007 with an auction result of USD 2,840,000.00 (€ 2,079,062.96).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Dezember diesen Jahres führte Christies in London die Auktion Old Masters Part I durch, in der auch die Arbeit A landscape with a peasant wedding and a village festival, Antwerp beyond von Lucas van Valckenborch zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 226.800,00 (€ 261.264,91) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 200.000,00 – 300.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Lucas van Valckenborch auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Summer: the Harvest ('Le Repas de Paysans') im April 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 2.840.000,00 (€ 2.079.062,96).
