Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In September this year Bonhams in New York held the auction Prints & Photographs | Bonhams Skinner, which included the work Saint Dominic by Lucas van Leyden. The »bidding war« ended at USD 704.00 (€ 665.15), 17% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Lucas van Leyden achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Virgin and Child with two Angels in January 2019 with an auction result of USD 52,500.00 (€ 45,835.52).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im September diesen Jahres führte Bonhams in New York die Auktion Prints & Photographs | Bonhams Skinner durch, in der auch die Arbeit Saint Dominic von Lucas van Leyden zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 704,00 (€ 665,15) und damit 17% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Lucas van Leyden erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit The Virgin and Child with two Angels im Januar 2019 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 52.500,00 (€ 45.835,52).
