Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Chair With Figures #21 by Lucas Samaras was sold in the A Thousand Roads: A Private Collection in Rome auction at Christies in Amsterdam in November 2021. Here, the upper estimate of EUR 7,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for EUR 7,500.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Lucas Samaras achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Box #119 in March 2021 with an auction result of USD 662,500.00 (€ 564,165.89).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Chair With Figures #21 von Lucas Samaras wurde im November 2021 in der Auktion A Thousand Roads: A Private Collection in Rome bei Christies in Amsterdam versteigert. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von EUR 7.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für EUR 7.500,00 einen neuen Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Lucas Samaras erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Box #119 im März 2021 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 662.500,00 (€ 564.165,89).
