Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Photofictions Couch Potato 7 by Lucas Samaras was sold in the The Greek Sale auction at Bonhams in Paris in November last year. Here, the upper estimate of EUR 8,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for EUR 8,925.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Lucas Samaras achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Box #119 in March 2021 with an auction result of USD 662,500.00 (€ 564,165.89).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Photofictions Couch Potato 7 von Lucas Samaras wurde im November letzten Jahres in der Auktion The Greek Sale bei Bonhams in Paris versteigert. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von EUR 8.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für EUR 8.925,00 einen neuen Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Lucas Samaras erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Box #119 im März 2021 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 662.500,00 (€ 564.165,89).
