The work The Lamentation of Christ by Luca Giordano was auctioned at Sothebys in Paris in June 2021. It achieved a price of EUR 69,300.00 exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 39 %. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Luca Giordano achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Martyrdom of Saint Bartholomew in July 2014 with an auction result of GBP 962,500.00 (€ 1,214,015.12).

Die Arbeit The Lamentation of Christ von Luca Giordano kam im Juni 2021 bei Sothebys in Paris zur Auktion. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von EUR 69.300,00 und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 39 %. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Luca Giordano erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit The Martyrdom of Saint Bartholomew im Juli 2014 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 962.500,00 (€ 1.214.015,12).
