Sold at the lower estimate price
In December 2019 Christies in London held the auction Old Master Drawings: Online, which included the work God the Father enthroned on clouds with putti by Luca Giordano. The result of GBP 4,000.00 (€ 4,727.53) was exactly at the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 4,000.00 – 6,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Luca Giordano achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Martyrdom of Saint Bartholomew in July 2014 with an auction result of GBP 962,500.00 (€ 1,214,015.12).
Zuschlag beim unteren Schätzpreis
Im Dezember 2019 führte Christies in London die Auktion Old Master Drawings: Online durch, in der auch die Arbeit God the Father enthroned on clouds with putti von Luca Giordano zur Versteigerung kam. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von GBP 4.000,00 (€ 4.727,53) entsprach exakt dem unteren Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 4.000,00 – 6.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Luca Giordano erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit The Martyrdom of Saint Bartholomew im Juli 2014 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 962.500,00 (€ 1.214.015,12).
