In January 2013 Sothebys in New York held the auction Property from the Estate of Giancarlo Baroni, which included the work A Sailing Vessel Being Careened by Luca Carlevarijs. The »bidding war« ended at USD 8,125.00 (€ 5,981.30), 35% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Luca Carlevarijs achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Venice: The Rialto Bridge from the North; and The Piazza San Marco in December 2003 with an auction result of GBP 1,125,250.00 (€ 1,593,769.19).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 35 % übertroffen
Im Januar 2013 führte Sothebys in New York die Auktion Property from the Estate of Giancarlo Baroni durch, in der auch die Arbeit A Sailing Vessel Being Careened von Luca Carlevarijs zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 8.125,00 (€ 5.981,30) und damit 35% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Luca Carlevarijs erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Venice: The Rialto Bridge from the North; and The Piazza San Marco im Dezember 2003 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 1.125.250,00 (€ 1.593.769,19).
