This artwork by Lu Xiaoman achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in Hong Kong in April 2014. In the Fine Chinese Paintings auction, the work Winter Forest sold for HKD 375,000.00 (€ 34,877.43) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 200,000.00. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Lu Xiaoman; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Horses In The Autumn Woods sold at auction in April 2021 with the realized price of HKD 403,200.00 (€ 43,168.88).

Dieses Kunstwerk von Lu Xiaoman erzielte im April 2014 bei Sothebys in Hong Kong einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Fine Chinese Paintings wurde die Arbeit Winter Forest für HKD 375.000,00 (€ 34.877,43) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 200.000,00. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Lu Xiaoman; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit Horses In The Autumn Woods im April 2021 mit dem Hammerpreis von HKD 403.200,00 (€ 43.168,88).
