Artwork auctioned at four times the upper estimate price
The work Guanyin by Lu Xiaoman was worth HKD 127,500.00 (€ 13,765.90) to a buyer in November 2020. This price was achieved in the auction Fine Chinese Paintings at Bonhams in Hong Kong and exceeded the previously set upper estimate of HKD 30,000.00 many times over. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Lu Xiaoman - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Horses In The Autumn Woods, which sold at auction in April 2021 for HKD 403,200.00 (€ 43,168.88).

Die Arbeit Guanyin von Lu Xiaoman war einem Käufer im November 2020 HKD 127.500,00 (€ 13.765,90) wert. Dieser Preise wurde in der Auktion Fine Chinese Paintings bei Bonhams in Hong Kong erzielt und übertraf den zuvor angesetzten oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 30.000,00 um ein Vielfaches. Für andere Arbeiten von Lu Xiaoman mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Horses In The Autumn Woods beobachtet, die im April 2021 für HKD 403.200,00 (€ 43.168,88) versteigert wurde.
